About the Office
The Office of New Americans (ONA) works to make Delaware a welcoming and inclusive place for new Americans, including immigrants and refugees. Through policy coordination, community partnerships, and direct support, the ONA promotes access to services, workforce development initiatives, language access, and civic engagement–benefiting families, communities, and the state as a whole.
Heritage and Cultural Commissions
The following heritage and cultural commissions are under the auspices of the Office of New Americans. These commissions preserve, celebrate, and elevate the histories, arts, and traditions that shape Delaware’s identity. Through education, advocacy, and community partnerships, these commissions ensure Delaware’s diverse cultural legacies are recognized and shared across generations.
