About Our Commission

Mission

  • The Delaware African and Caribbean Affairs Commission was created to promote the welfare and interest of all people of African descent who reside in Delaware.

Vision

  • To provide a platform for promoting the cultural and historical heritage of the people of African descent.
  • To facilitate the socioeconomic relationship between the African and Caribbean countries, citizens, and residents

Objectives

  • Education: To promote the quality of education in the community.
  • Safety and Security: Work with law enforcement to protect and promote law and order.
  • Economic Development: Work with the City, County, and the State to create job opportunities.
  • International Relation: Promote Cultural heritage, and liaise with the African and Caribbean Countries while promoting Delaware goods and services.
  • Community Council Faith Based: Work with the Faith-based Community leaders in promoting social needs in the community.
